David Haig

David’s theatre credits include: The Country Wife (Theatre Royal Haymarket Company); Donkeys’ Years - Olivier Award nomination (Comedy Theatre); Mary Poppins – Olivier Award nomination (Prince Edward Theatre); Journey’s End (Comedy Theatre); Hitchcock Blonde (Royal Court and West End); Life x 3 (Savoy Theatre); House, Garden, Fair Ladies at a Game of Poem Cards and Berenice (all at the National Theatre); Art (Wyndham’s Theatre and Broadway); My Boy Jack (Hampstead); Dead Funny (Hampstead and West End); Measure for Measure (Young Vic, RSC tour); Our Country’s Good – Olivier Award for Actor of the Year in a New Play, The Recruiting Officer and Greenland (all Royal Court) and Tom and Viv (Royal Court and Broadway). For the RSC: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, World’s Apart, Every Man in His Humour, Time of Your Life and Volpone.

His television credits include: My Boy Jack, Crime and Punishment, Station Jim, Talking Heads – Playing Sandwiches, Keeping Mum, The Thin Blue Line, Love on the Branch Line, Portrait of a Marriage; Hustle; Cracker, Chessgame, A Flame to the Phoenix; Inspector Morse and Soldier, Soldier.

His film work includes: Two Week’s Notice (Castle Rock); Four Weddings and a Funeral (Polygram); Morons From Outer Space (MGM) and Lady Jane.

David has also written two stage plays for the Hampstead Theatre: My Boy Jack and The Good Samaritan, both critically acclaimed. He has just finished filming My Boy Jack for Ecosse films and ITV.
