John Davitt
John comes originally from York.
After training at Webber Douglas Academy in London, he has played roles as varied as Nipple in Little Malcolm, Enobarbus in Antony & Cleopatra, Feste in Twelfth Night and Whittaker in The Long & The Short & The Tall.
He toured the U.S. as Stan Laurel in Laurel & Hardy, and appeared in Peter Pan at Manchester Library Theatre and The Trackers of Oxyrhynchus at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.
He has toured for OTTC in Around The World In 80 Days, for New Perspectives in The Titfield Thunderbolt, Phileas Fogg and Bowled a Googly and for Quondam Theatre as the bard in Shakespeare in Trouble and in Top Banana.
In London he appeared in The Giant's Baby at Polka Theatre and Art at the Whitehall Theatre. John has also toured in Pinter’s Betrayal.
TV work includes The Bill, 999 and plenty of corporate videos.
He has recorded Sgt. Musgrave's Dance and Paths of Glory for BBC Radio 4.
