For a long period, Angie Watts made Anita one of the most famous faces in the UK. But her career covers as wide a variety of work as comedy, musicals and plays at the National Theatre. Being able to survive a long run in a soap opera and continue a meaningful and critically acclaimed career as an actor takes determination and integrity. As Angie Watts in EASTENDERS, Anita was one of the most popular characters on TV, winning the Pye Award for TV Personality of the Year, the Daily Mirror’s Actress of the Year and the TV Times Actress of the Year Award for that role.
In the theatre, Anita has appeared in the West End and all over the country.
