On Friday12th October, actor, writer and presenter Ian Kelly launched his latest book Mr Foote’s Other Leg at The Theatre Royal Haymarket; the very theatre Foote managed between 1754 and 1777.

Hosted by the Theatre Royal Haymarket and in collaboration with Hendrik’s Gin and Mr Foote’s Other Leg publishers Picador, the book launch saws stars of page, stage and screen, including Jeremy Irons and Nick Robinson, come together to celebrate Ian Kelly’s latest piece of writing.

Guests enjoyed an exquisite drinks reception in the beautiful Bancroft Stalls Bar and received the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere that inspired Foote to dream of owning the Theatre Royal Haymarket.

Mr Foote’s Other Leg has been attracting rave reviews from the Press and will no doubt follow in the footsteps of Kelly’s other titles Cooking for Kings, Beau Brummel: The Ultimate Dandy and Casanova, for which he was awarded Radio 4 Book of the Week,  Observer Paperback of the Month, Times Books of the Year and Sunday Times Biography of the Year.
