The National Theatre at the Haymarket

This October we announced that the Chichester Festival Theatre’s acclaimed production of Taken At Midnight will be performed here in January 2015. The Haymarket looks forward to welcoming Penelope Wilton and other cast members. You can book your tickets here.

The theatre’s successful co-production of The Last Confession starring David Suchet toured Canada, America and Australia throughout April – September.

Masterclass

Our Masterclass charity has had another whirlwind year with lots of exciting projects and events offering a wide range of free industry related workshops, talks, practical and creative opportunities and careers advice for young people aged 14 – 30. Masterclass welcomed over 3,500 young people who are interested in the theatre through the doors of the Theatre Royal Haymarket.

This year Masterclass has;  had 25 masterclass session, presented the final staged reading in their inaugural Pitch Your Play initiative, offered their 24th paid placement on the Apprentice Scheme, run an inspiring series of workshops for young people living with life limiting health conditions at Richard House Hospice, run a very energetic two week workshop with 12 inspiring young women aged 14 – 16 as part of The Academy, supported Off West End’s Adopt-a-playwright scheme for the 6th year with a reading of Mother India by Satinder Chohan and sponsored the Best Production award at the The Offies annual awards. Masterclass were included as part of the Victoria and Albert Museum’s Shakespeare Festival, welcomed Kathleen Kennedy their lovely intern through a partnership with Notre Dame University in London and celebrated the largest and most successful TheatreCraft to date, welcoming over 1,200 young people to the annual backstage careers event at the Royal Opera House.
